WCK employs registered qualified teachers who runs the kindergarten in line with the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines curriculum. We pride ourselves on offering the highest quality educational and school readiness programs, with the convenience of a supporting long day care program
The children move through from lower Kindergarten Programs to the 4-Year-Old/Pre-Prep Program. The foundations established during their time in the junior Kindergarten Program are further extended and challenged to develop deeper connections, friendships and learnings enabling a smoother transition to local schools.
As our Kindergarten children leave to begin the next stage in their early years journey, we are confident we are fare welling well-rounded citizens and dynamic thinkers, equipped with essential skills
for 21st century learning.
Transition to school
Our aim is for our children to have a confident and smooth transition into their preparatory year. We maintain a strong connection with our local schools and develop our school readiness program in consultation with the schoolteachers.
Assisting children in building independence and confidence throughout their Kindergarten year,and work closely with children to assist them in their development of their social and emotional intelligences.
To ensure the transition to school is a positive experience for children and families, we will implement a range experience that may include, but is not limited to:

Visits by children to local primary school setting- Woombye State Primary School setting

Visits from Primary school teachers and/or Principals to our Service - Woombye and Chevallum State School
