Nestled in the heart of Woombye on the Sunshine Coast lies a truly a unique place for Children, Families, Educators and Community.
Since 2002 the service has been owned and operated by the Canty family. Nearly 23 years on we are still proud to be at the forefront of contemporary childcare philosophy and practice, putting current research and innovative approaches into practice. Continuing to provide Exceeding educational programs and supporting children, families in the local and the wider Community. We were the first Centre that developed and implemented our much-loved Bush Kindy and Green House Farm Kindy.
Learning and growing at the WCK instils in children’s values such as respect, care, consideration and empathy. Our aim is to support children to become confident, creative lifelong learners, active participants and informed citizens. Children who are kind, resilience, critical thinkers, and have an ability to adapt to changes in a fast-moving world.
We offer children opportunities for real authentic experiences to learn, think, understand and make sense of the world and their place within it. Our WCK Explorers participate in a range of community-oriented programs - Bush Kindy, Green House Farm Kindy and “Walking Woombye”. WCK offers our explorers the opportunity to enrol into Bush Kindy or Green House Farm Kindy alongside our Centre program.
We are open from 8.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday

Wunya.
Our WCK Explorers play, learn and think on Gubbi Gubbi country in the heart of Woombye and hinterland Kureelpa.
Our programs provide our WCK Explorers the opportunity to explore and investigate in a mix of natural environments at our Centre, within the Woombye Community and the Green House farm. Our Explorers engage in meaningful authentic early childhood experiences which inspire children to be enthusiastic lifelong learners developing the 21st century skills of collaboration, communication and critical thinking, while enjoying an idyllic childhood.
Our Pre- Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs are based on current research on how children learn best through a play, Inquiry, strength based approach to learning and thinking.
Our Nature programs occur throughout the year and run the whole day, enabling our WCK Explorers time to spend the whole day out in nature fostering a deeper engagement and connection with nature, land and animals.
