Our story​

 

For over 20 years, Woombye Childcare Nature Kindergarten has been a trusted part of the Woombye community, proudly family owned and operated since 2002. Our story is one of connection — to children, to families, to nature, and to place.

From the beginning, we have believed that children are capable, curious and full of potential. This belief has shaped a learning environment where play, inquiry and meaningful relationships are at the heart of everything we do. We offer high-quality early education and an approved kindergarten program for children from approximately 2.6 years to five years, providing a nurturing and consistent learning journey during the most important early years.

Inspired by Reggio Emilia and nature-based educational philosophies, our approach goes beyond the classroom. Children engage in rich, hands-on experiences through our unique programs, including Bush Kinda, Green House Farm Kindy, and Walking Woombye — building confidence, resilience and a deep connection to the natural world and local community.

 

Set within a thoughtfully designed indoor–outdoor environment on Blackall Street, Woombye Childcare Nature Kindergarten offers children the freedom to explore, create and belong. Today, we are proud to be recognised for our strong sense of community, our commitment to nature-based learning, and our passion for supporting children to grow into capable, confident learners.
