About growing produce as they make vegetable gardens, plant, harvest. Having the experience of picking and cooking seeing fresh to the table.

An appreciation for health and nutrition and the importance of healthy eating and sustainable food choices is reinforced as they use the produce from the gardens to encourage healthy eating practices.

To Investigate what to plant each season, children take ownership of the vegetable “pick and eat”.
TOOLS

To use tools safely and responsibly as they learn to select for themselves the tool they want to pursue to investigate and the purpose – i.e. as they make signs to sell their produce.
ENVIRONMENT

About the variety of plant and animal life around them

Become more physically active learning how to move safely on uneven sloping terrain of the unpredictable and challenging spaces of the outdoors and around animals.

Take an active role in caring for our environment and contributing to a sustainable future. This includes recycling, using recycled resources, use of rainwater tanks and water conservations composting, vegetable gardens, a worm farm, feeding scrapes to the pigs, growing own vegetables, writing menu books form garden to table
