Nestled in the heart of Woombye on the Sunshine Coast lies a truly a unique place for Children, Families, Educators and Community.
Woombye Childcare and Kindergarten has been providing a high-quality long day education and care program since 1989. We are a small family owned centre.
Learning and growing at the WCK instils in children’s values such as respect, care, consideration and empathy. Our aim is to enable children to become confident, creative lifelong learners. Children who are kind, resilience, critical thinkers, and have an ability to adapt to changes in a fast-moving world.
Our WCK Explorers participate in a range of community-oriented programs - Bush Kinda, Farm Kinda and “Walking Woombye”. WCK offers our explorers the opportunity to enrol into Bush Kinda or Farm Kinda.
We are open from 8am to 4pm, Monday to Thursday.

We provide early childhood education and a philosophy that is an appealing alternative to traditional long day care and family day care.
Our place has a focus on early learning putting the child at the heart of all we do with a focus on how children learn best, an inquiry approach to learning. “Head, hands and heart” learning.
A place with a strong nature play focus and connection to land and animals. Where children can have real life experiences and fosters in each of us an ecological identity.
A place which values children as competent and capable, active protagonists of their growth and development. Where qualified experienced teachers walk alongside children and families.

Our Programs
Real world Learning
Wunya.
Our WCK Explorers play, learn and think on Gubbi Gubbi country in the heart of Woombye and hinterland Kureelpa.
Our programs provide our WCK Explorers the opportunity to explore and investigate in a mix of natural environments at our Centre, within the Woombye Community and the Green House farm. Our Explorers engage in meaningful authentic early childhood experiences which inspire children to be enthusiastic lifelong learners developing the 21st century skills of collaboration, communication and critical thinking, while enjoying an idyllic childhood.
Our Pre- Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs are based on current research on how children learn best through a play, Inquiry, strength based approach to learning and thinking.
Our Nature programs occur throughout the year and run the whole day, enabling our WCK Explorers time to spend the whole day out in nature fostering a deeper engagement and connection with nature, land and animals.
