Woombye Early Development Centre (WEDC) was formally known as Woombye Child Care Centre/Sunshine Cottage. We pride ourselves in not being a child minding service, but a place for early development. For this reason the name is being gradually changed to Woombye Early Development Centre.

We are a small family owned and operated centre located in a boutique Old Queenslander building in the heart of rural Woombye. The Centre is situated in a prime position just 2 minutes west of the Nambour Connection Road opposite the IGA supermarket. We are nestled between the Dentist and Doctor’s clinic and close to the butcher, baker, hairdresser, newsagent and vet. This allows parents to carry out their shopping before or after tending to their child. The area offers plenty of parking with bus and rail transport nearby.

At Woombye Early Development Centre we have removed the hallmarks of a ‘kiddie land’ institution in order to create a centre where you will feel a sense of home and be immediately captivated by the beautiful interior. You will find soft furnishings with cushions and couches, fabrics to create an aesthetically pleasing environment, a homely appearance and a cosy feel.
