There are 58 spaces available at the WEDC and a higher than normal child/teacher ratio. The centre has small group sizes in order to provide for the needs of all children, allowing them to work with a primary focus carer. We believe small groups provide possibility for paying attention, for hearing and listening to each other, for developing curiosity and interest, and for asking and responding to questions.
The children are grouped in ages in each of the home rooms:
Licensed for 10 children from the age of 15mths to 3years.
Licensed for 21 children from the age of 2 years to 4years.
Licensed for 24 children from the age of 3 years to school age.
